About WCD Interiors
Walter and Avril have run their independent boutique furniture and interiors business for the past 22 years in the leafy iconic North London Village of Highgate. Having started off on a stall in the Camden stables, the quirky pretty building at 84 Highgate High Street became home to WCD in 1996, where they embarked on a retail journey rooted in providing great product and a personal approach to customer relationships.
Simultaneous to working from the Tufnell Park studio on bespoke projects for a variety of clients, the Highgate shop has been perfect for Walter Castellazzo's designs, showcasing a passion for collectable mid-century design, featuring drinks trolleys, chairs and cabinets. Alongside other pieces that are up-cycled or upholstered without losing the integrity of the piece, they also offer a very personal style of eclectic home interior pieces and gifts searched out by Avril with love and passion. Hoping to transform homes into a comfortable chic, they are also very keen to promote and stock British, Irish and Scandinavian design, with a bit of whatever else catches their eye.
What we do...
Walter Castellazzo Design is primarily a bespoke furniture making service of desirable, timeless and affordable pieces. Behind each creation is Walter himself, continuously exercising an imaginative approach to both small or large projects for individual clients, architects or interior designers.
Alongside the studio in Tufnell Park where the projects come to life, the store in Highgate Village is home to a carefully curated selection of beautiful design-led interior pieces and accessories as well as a space to showcase Walter’s wonderful creations.
A pride in personalised service, face to face contact with their clients and customers has resulted in a loyal following and clientele.
